When it began, it was just five of us in a room with an idea. In less than three years, Game of Zones was Emmy-nominated, shown on NBA on TNT with an intro from Charles Barkley, and viewed by millions across TV, social and digital platforms. Game of Zones is just about what it sounds like – an NBA-inspired parody of Game of Thrones, animated into individual episodes with content related to that season’s stars and storylines. I project managed every episode in the early days, and ultimately led all marketing for the show, vaulting Game of Zones into a nationally recognized hit series. The marketing strategy entailed an integrated approach utilizing linear, digital, social (+paid), as well as special experiential and e-commerce plays.
